Misleading/deceptive signs tarnish city hall backers

This sign and others like it seen around Troutdale claim the proposed Troutdale city hall bond measure would "save money".  Call it untrue, deceptive, misleading, or a plain ordinary lie, this is the desperation promoted by the backers of a proposed $7.3 million bond measure on the ballot. Leases of $70k per year versus $300-400k per year for a bond measure. Per ORESTAR, Troutdale city councilor David Ripma paid for these deceptive signs.
Unfortunately, the State of Oregon no longer prosecutes people who distribute misleading and/or deceptive campaign signs.

Mr Ripma. Please consider what is best for the citizens of Troutdale. It is not a vastly over priced rehab of a failed building.

Mr Ripma. Please set your own misguided visions of Troutdale aside for once and do not waste a bond measure on a vastly over priced rehab of a failed building
