Gresham police dog Koda is recovering from severe front leg injuries after he plunged over a steep hillside with a wanted suspect. Troutdale police officer Greg Vining spotted the suspect on Stark Street near Kerslake Road late Wednesday night, July 11.
Vining was off duty, but turned his car around to go after the suspect, who went down the steep (it's basically a cliff) embankment toward the Sandy River. Troutdale Police called for backup. You can read the rest of the story at the Gresham Outlook's web site.
