"On 08-06-07 at 1045 hours, Troutdale Police along with the assistance of the ATF, the Fairview Police Department, PPB/GPD Metro EDU and the Port of Portland Explosive K9 Unit, served two search warrants that originated from two pipe bomb incidents in Troutdale and Fairview on 07-23-07. One search warrant was served in Troutdale and the other in Fairview. Both locations yielded evidence in this case and led to the discovery of two more detonation sights in Fairview.
A 17 year-old Troutdale resident and a 17 year-old Fairview resident were taken into custody. Both are young men who attend Reynolds High School and were cooperative with Detectives. They were lodged at the Juvenile Detention Hall on four counts of Arson I, Manufacturing of a Destructive Device, Possession of a Destructive Device, Criminal Mischief I and Reckless Endangering. The case is still under investigation as we will be working with the District Attorney’s Office and the Juvenile court system."
