What do you get in Troutdale for $300,000? Nothing. Not the $630,000 that city staff and Troutdale's budget committee had to cut out of Troutdale's 2006-07 general fund.
Not the badly needed extra police officer that our budget committee couldn't find a way to pay for.
Not the much needed money for parks maintenance.
Not the money we'll need to pay for increased fire service costs and pay increases for our city employees.
Not a way to help cover the estimated $500,000 business income tax revenue per year that Multnomah County won't be passing on to Troutdale.
I could go on and on. It's disgusting.
