Welcome Back, Troutdale Winds!

Like an old but slightly annoying friend, the gorge winds arrived for their annual stay in Troutdale. You know what? I like the wind. It does grow on you! Our house gives us the familiar rumble sound during big wind gusts. Our dog hesitates before going outside. The leaves in our yard have left us for their annual migration to Hillsboro. It takes a little extra muscle to open our car door. The garbage and recycling rollcarts are now bungeed to a tree on pickup day. And the first thing we do when we get up in the morning is to look outside to see if the backyard fence is still in one piece.
